Getting started with the Apple Watch


Apple Watch Series 2 or newer

NOTE: Series 2, 3, or 4 watches
have better GPS quality than the 5 or 6.
For this reason, Series 5 and 6 watches
are not recommended for use with LITPro.
iOS 9 or higher,
iPhone SE, iPhone 5S, or higher
iPad Air or higher,
iPad Pro or higher,
iPadmini 2 or higher,
or iPod 6 or higher
Either the
LITPro MX or Road App (iOS)


  1. Create a LITPro Account - If you haven't already, this is your first step. You can do so by going here.
  2. Download and install the app on your phone
  3. Install the MX App or Road App on your Apple Watch
  4. Now you're ready to begin

Tracking a session

  1. Open the MX or Road App on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch
  2. In the App on your iPhone, tap "add session" in the top right corner
  3. Find your Apple Watch on the device list and tap "LIVE timing"
  4. Your iPhone should handoff the controls to your Apple Watch
  5. Tip: With the controls handed off to your watch. The phone is no longer needed, you can store it for now.
  6. On your Apple Watch, tap the yellow "START" button
  7. Begin riding your session
  8. When your done riding, tap the "finish" button on your watch
  9. Tip: You can quickly review your lap times on the watch before processing. Use the scroll wheel on the watch to cycle through them.
    Tip: If you don't have cellular service on your Apple Watch you'll need to be in Bluetooth range of your iPhone when you finish your session.
  10. When processing is completed in the cloud, your session is ready for review in the App on your iPhone
